Limit on AP/IB Exam Credit

"Effective Fall, 2009......No more than two courses (6 to 8 credit hours) of exam credit may be used as part of the core requirements in any major." This is from the 2009-2010 First-Year Guide found at http://advising.unc.edu/newstudents/2009-2010Guide

Does the definition of "core requirements" exclude foundations, approaches and connections? In other words, if I have more than 6-8 exam credit hours, I WILL be able to use them for foundations, approaches and connections, correct?

yeah i’m wondering the same thing now that you brought that up. it’s pretty clearly under a section about major credit so I’m pretty confident/optimistic that you/i will be able to use for gen. ed. requirements.

I’m going to guess 64 CHS.
