I got my waitlist letter today. Still not sure if I will accept it, depends on some other schools. Its better than a rejection though, seems competition was INSANE this year.

yup I was waitlisted too. I added my name to the list- any idea when they inform you of their final decision?

2200/3.9/8% rank. waitlisted too. smh.
Probably not going to put my name on the waiting list. I’d rather give the spot up to someone who wants to go.

Waitlisted here, too.

It’s a shame, and I was really interested in BC, but I’ll live. I was expecting rejection, so this is alright.

I’d put my name on the list, but financial aid is a huge deal for me and I doubt I’d get offered a good package if I got in off the wait list in June.

For those of you who have been waitlisted, has anything changed on your Agora? My Agora looks the same way it has since day one. Bad sign, I guess. I cannot believe the stellar stats of the students who have been waitlisted or rejected. INSANE!

I was waitlisted, and my Agora looks the same as it always has. I added my name to the list and am keeping my fingers crossed!

I got waitlisted too
I suppose it’s better to get waitlisted than rejected, but I was quite interested in BC.

I put myself on the waiting list, but I’ll live if I don’t get pulled off of it.

waitlisted as well. i’m not sure if i’ll put it on there, probably not.

I was waitlisted after being deferred from EA.

I put my name on the wait list.

Hello fellow waitlisted-ers!
I have a question about being wait listed in general.
So if put myself on the wait list and I get in… does that mean I automatically forfeit going to the school I sent my SIR to?

Waitlisted here also! I am definitely putting down my name, since I still <3 Boston College. Hope they are able to free spots up for us this year.

To all those who have been waitlisted: don’t give up hope. Last year, two of my friends had daughters that were on the BC waitlist and they both got accepted by mid-May. Both are loving their Boston College experience.

If you really want to go to BC, I would recommend sending a letter saying that BC is your first choice and you would definitely attend if you got off the wait list. You might also want to identify those BC activities that you would get involved in so that you can show the added value that YOU would bring to the BC campus…

Good luck to all.

Clairafornia. Choosing to be on the waitlist does NOT commit you to attend BC. If they do make an offer to you in a month or two (and the chances for that are relatively small – but not impossible), then you can decide at that time whether or not you still want to attend BC or want to go to the school where you have already enrolled.

I’m also a wait-listed applicant. I’m wondering if BC is one of those colleges that can still offer full financial need to wait-listed applicants who get admitted. Otherwise, I’d believe that the college would have already allocated all their funds to accepted students and would consider wait-listed students based on their eligibility to pay for tuition without financial aid.

My waitlist letter said that BC has accepted 50-300 students in the past. Is it very likely that enough students will choose not to attend so that spots free up? I guess I’m just paranoid about <50 spots being available.

so i was just waitlisted after applying EA and being deferred…

that’s pretty much it,
sucks i got waitlisted—personally think it’s a little ridiculous after seeing the kids who got into BC from my school

Not sure if Ill join the list or not yet… cant decide if I would attend the better school (BC) over a better fit for me (Pitt) if it came down to it.

Waitlisted, not joining the list.

FP9, sounds lilke Pitt is the better school for you if the fit is better, don’t worry about rankings etc.

Waitlisted. 31 ACT, 3.6 UW GPA, 3.9 W, top 25%.

Decided I was going to University of Michigan like a month ago anyway tho. Why put my name on the waitlist and make it harder for people who really want to go to BC?
