LMU EA Class of 2026

Good question. I had the same doubt

My son got even less than that, which pretty much takes it impossible for us. We are gutted. It was his top choice…

I think you should contact the financial aid office and tell them it’s his first choice. I’ve heard of schools bumping the aid a bit

Good idea

Sorry about that

To you and your daughter as well. This college stuff is all tricky…and expensive!

You should contact the financial aid dept and tell them it’s your child first choice and she/ he has received “X” from another school. Our counselor said this is common, and expected by schools.

Son got Arrupe for $13,500, plus EA. Total 15,500.

Stats, 4.15 WGPA and 1520 SAT

Do you have an understanding about what that “LMU Grant” is?

Hmmm I had just 5000

My daughter got 6500 + 2500 ED + 1000 Precollege, so some of the amounts listed here sound pretty good to me. SFTV, so not sure if that makes a difference, great grades, didn’t submit SAT/ACT, great extracurriculars. I tried to get more, but I’m not sure the ED helped with merit. Still, LMU was her top choice by far, so we will do what we have to… Apparently there are other scholarships you can try for once they are in school. Good luck everyone.

They look for students who will work for the greater good of humanity and social justice.
So, if you have done community service or helped people during the pandemic it might be valuable. My thoughts.
Others can chime in.

It’s one of my daughter’s top choices, too. She’s a theatre arts major and fell in love with the school/campus when she toured last November. We will do what we have to, as well. Thank you for sharing.

My daughter is a second semester junior and has received the EA award every semester.

I just saw this today, not sure if your interested but it might help others next year.

She did a pros and con’s list and SDSU had the most pros…

Has her actual major~ advertising & media studies, wants D-1 sports

Fell in love with SD over LA, although LMU is closer to the beach, which was a plus.

Accepted to Webers Honors College, gives her small community, advisor, and Zura

Loved the campus, but recognized that the area around it was not ideal.

Less expensive, and that will help when having to pay for MBA

We have a relative in SD, which gives her a person to go to, if needed.

I think she just saw herself there~

One negative was that when we did our visits last summer, no one was on campus.

Lastly, she didn’t have much hope for UC’s because of the number of applicants. As of yesterday she was waitlisted at all of the UC’s she had any interest in, so she’s committing to SDSU.
