You don’t wanna goto UCLA. The area sucks, and you would have just spent your whole day getting attacked by the bums in LA as they chased you with syringes to get a hold of your lunch money.

Furthermore, you can just buy UCLA when you grow up to engineer derivatives that will bet on the success of the CA municipal bonds, in which the state will fail and become absorbed into Nevada, and you will make tons of money to buy UCLA and rename UCSandaboy-****YouAdmisions (or UCSFYA).

I agree! One universal class! ***…lol…just got done with my appeal letter…probably in for another rejection, but after this I can’t say I didn’t try my level best…plus it beats sitting here and not fighting a system that is unfair imo
…

lol and the first 5 words in the description to the Econ 25 class: “an introduction to financial accounting” LMAO this is just too classic

You could always try appealing and attaching the course descriptions to you letter, as well as maybe getting a letter from the dean of the math department verifying that they are essentially the same class.

I’ve seen this post so many times regarding UCLA. If you haven’t gone to the damn area, don’t speak out of your ass. UCLA has the nice half of L.A i.e no muggers, no syringes, no skid row. UCLA probably has one of the better campuses.

You guys are thinking about USC; it’s in the middle of the damn town/ghetto. You drive like 5 minutes and you’ll get near Little Tokyo which also has a whole street filled with homeless people (not skid row).

Fact of the matter is, don’t be delusional and make up ****storm comments like “UCLA has a bad neighborhood” when it actually has one of the best. You obviously haven’t been there if you’re saying this.

and btw, I lived in Westwood for two years. So don’t go telling me that I haven’t “gone to the damn area”, becasue I have. I am quite fond of it.

And the story is taken from a time where a bum chased me with a syringe near the Mann Theatre, which is two blocks away from the medical research center.

So neener-neener. I was highlighting the maximum bad points of UCLA.

PLUS
They just have a ripoff version of UCB’s mascot, except its not even golden, its just a brown bear with a fancy Hollywood name.

Not that any of us really give a care about mascots right now…

Hey sandaboy, theres some more proof that Econ 25 and MGMT30A are the same motha effing thing. I’m going to enclose that with my appeal letter. If these guys won’t listen to reason and sound facts, I don’t know what else we can do.

@ andrew
Nice one man!..I’ll attach that as well…also, you should attach the Syllabus for each class…they cover the same material!! They use the same book! If anything, Econ 25 has a bigger bookload!

@Sanda Thanks. I really hope you get in. I think you will, and you deserve to.

@Andrew Nah man, not gonna worry about appealing. Going into the college application process, I was pretty set on UC Davis. I have more reasons than fingers to attend this campus, and even if I did get into Cal/UCLA, it would be silly NOT to go somewhere that I feel is the best school for me.

Cupertinotransfr, that’s harsh and unnecessary.

Sandaboy, however, the two Syllabus indicate the courses are different. One is accounting based - prepare journal/financial statement for others’ use. The other is the use of the these financial data to make business decision. Same book can be used, but it seems the angle/emphasis is different. I wish UCLA not see the same way as I do. Good luck!

Hey I apologize but it’s people like you who take the wrong courses that make the percentage of rejections so much higher at UCs. Weed out the ineligible candidates and acceptance rates are like 25-30% for impacted majors.
