I've also heard that... but everyone in my family has been skinny.

Instead of running five miles every day, try running 6 or 7 some days, then running 4 on the others, and do weight training on days where you run less. If you build up muscle, your metabolism will speed up and you'll burn more calories, since muscle takes more energy to maintain.

The thighs come from the running (I'm a runner too and hate the thighs, but there's not much you can do.) For your stomach/waist, try just integrating a little ab work into the day. I do 200 crunches a day, but break it up into four sets of fifty and do them whenever I have time [i.e. one set when I wake up in the morning, once after school, then the last 100 before bed.] It honestly only takes two minutes to do a set, and it's a great wake-up call if you're doing hw and starting to drift off.

I've heard Dance Dance Revolution is a miracle-worker.

Start drinking water with Crystal Light (or just water) instead of soft drinks.

aha DDR would be sick...

ahahah oprah, your diet was the highlight of my week!! :D

Drink only green tea from now on.

well im 6' 3'' and i weigh 140
and that SOUNDS skinny but it's all in my belly
/i have a really screwed up image of myself!
BUT i used to be REALLY fat, and I lost weight by...
a. not eating (which i do not recommend)
b. running A LOT (which i do recommend)

but really you just need to be happy with how you look. and you shouldn't care what people think. It's unfortunate that i have a bad self-image but i honestly can't do a thing about it because i love food so much

good luck <3

Drink 1 gallon of water a day, no other drinks.

Eat your regular meals, except switch side dishes like chips or nuts with fruits.

It's simple, I lost 30 pounds in middle school doing this lol...

If this is the case, then running isn't the case - you really don't need to lose weight, but if you want to change your looks, do weight training and gain muscles.

Work out in the gym, or if you can't, get some simple equipment and work out. Gain some muscle. I'm 5'10 and I weigh 145ish, and I don't look super-skinny but with muscle and rather lean. It's good that way.
