Lost my wallet?

This sucks so much. I go to a local college and well after class, after I had gone home, I decided to go to a store and realized my wallet was missing. I got home and my wallet wasn't there either. This was Thursday.

I remember I had bought food on campus on Tuesday and had it with me all day, and I'm pretty sure I still had it on Wednesday though I never pulled out my wallet to buy something Wed or Thurs. If it was missing on Wed or Thurs I'm sure I would have noticed it when I put my hand in my pocket and realized it wasn't there. So all signs point to me still having it but I can't find it. I never took it out the last couple of days so where can it be? Not in my pants, on my desk, or anything. My wallet wouldn't just fall out of my pocket so it just disappeared?!

The semester ends next week so I hope its not at school. What do I do? It had some cash, a debit card, a credit card, license, and school ID.

You need to call your credit card provider and put a hold on your card ASAP.

Although it is unlikely…check the lost and found.

Other than that, call the bank up and get a new credit card. Get a new school ID and driver’s license.

Can’t do anything about the cash.

Call your parents. Parents too have lost a credit card, or a wallet, sometime in their life. They should not be mad a you. It’s a hassle to replace stuff. If you hear frustration in their voice ~ it’s just frustration at life’s hassles. But really, call them. They will be helpful, and get you back-on-track.

Yes, report to your bank and credit card companies immediately and check with them if any charges have been made since you found it lost. The advice to call your parents can wait, as they will tell you to do this anyway.

You are an adult now, and need to learn how to take care of your finances and identity. If charges have been made, you can open a claim with the bank/credit company. I hope you didn’t carry your social security card with you?

Thanks guys. I have called the bank and dmv…and my parents too. No, I don’t carry my social security card in there thankfully, though my medical card was in there.
