URGENT need help now

<p>so at 5 pm on Nov 26th.. someone stole my wallet.
with it is my checking/debit card.
so i was locked out of my dorm cause my key was stuck with the wallet,
and i probably will personally go to the bank tomorrow to cancel my card.
thing is, the thief already used my card at a trijillos, 7-11, and dominoes.</p>

<p>so what should i do now? its my fault that i reported the card so late?
also, will the police actually investigate deeply, as in will they go to check the cameras on those stores to see who the dude was?
if they are willing, they can bust the guy, because i was at the gym when he stole my wallet, and we have personal pin codes to get into the gym.
so check the camera, match the guy, bling they can get his name, address, school ID info and all that.</p>

<p>So if it was urgent and you need help "now", it's probably a poor choice on your part to go on the College Confidential Cafe at 4:00am (PST) and ask for help. Just for future reference, as great as CC is, the police or family members would probably be a better choice in a situation like this.</p>

<p>Check the bank's website to see if there's a 24 hour number or a website that you can go to to cancel your debit card (this kind of service is available for credit cards, so I don't see why a debit card wouldn't also have it). You should really do that as soon as possible and then you can sort everything else out later.</p>
