Lou's Bakery

Is Lou's Bakery really the go to place when you want a budget conscious super good meal in walking distance? We went there for breakfast and they did serve generous portions and it was good, but...just wondering is that the place and or are there other as good or better eateries nearby campus???

There are a number of other restaurants along the same street, most of which are not what I would call expensive. There are yet more alternatives on the side streets, such as Star of India or the Salt Hill Pub. IIRC, The Canoe Club is probably the priciest alternative in town. Whether any of them are as good or better than Lou’s depends on your taste. And probably on which meal of the day you have in mind.

I’ll add Market Table to the list ([Market Table](http://www.markettablenh.com/):)) good food and good-sized portions. Just off the parking lot on Lebanon Street behind the building that houses Starbucks.

Also Murphy’s, Molly’s and 3 Guys BBQ.

EBAs is the local pizza place seemingly favored by Dartmouth students seemingly. It’s reasonably priced and has a large and varied menu. They have a Sunday breakfast buffet. AND it stays open late and they deliver. Market Table is pricey, particularly for dinner. Other places that are reasonably priced and good are Yama (Japanese restaurant) and Orient (Chinese restaurant). Both are within walking distance of campus.
