I am trying to choose what to do as my major. Chemistry, molecular biology, or computational biology are what I am considering as my major, while I am planning to either double major or minor in art. I am going to commit myself to medical field but I still want to study what I like. I am probably the best at chemistry and do love the subject but I am not sure if I want to go in depth about inorganic chemistry stuffs… Molecular biology combines both my interest in chem and necessity to excel in the medical field. I am not sure about computational biology but since I will be doing a research on this topic this summer I will be able to talk about it in my essay better. Could anyone please give me some advice?
Thank you in advance!
Medical schools do not seem to care about what your undergraduate major is, if you complete the specified pre-med course work.
Consider your interest in the subject and the career prospects for graduates of the major if you do not get into medical school.

I am applying whole bunch of BS MD programs so I won’t have to worry about getting into Med school. I think I am a pretty competitive applicant considering my ECs and awards. So in this case should I pursue what I like?

BS-MD programs typically have the “guaranteed” MD school admission contingent on maintaining a pre-med-worthy college GPA and getting a high MCAT score, though they can allow skipping the stressful application and interview process if you do get the high enough GPA and MCAT score.
Yes, major in what you like and are willing to graduate with at the bachelor’s level if you do not go to medical school.

Okay thank you!
