What is your prospective major?

Assuming you are in the college, look at what you are considering majoring in. Try taking courses in those subjects that also fulfill general requirements. You can push off some things like a writing seminar or math to explore classes and figure out a major. Most departments have intro courses that also fulfill different sector requirements.

If you at least have a general idea of what you want to study, particularly if you’re looking at the larger majors (e.g. science-related) I’d start taking at least 1 or 2 intro courses just so you’re not behind. Usually not a huge deal either way.

I’d say for first semester, do this: writing seminar, language class, something that interests you but pertains to basically nothing, something that fulfills a prospective major requirement and a general requirement. It’s very easy to do that!
