Congrats and welcome to NaiaXD as reported in the thread here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/1114111-umich-northwestern-vocal-performance-undergraduate-questions.html</a></p>

I have never posted anything before, but have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the posts of participants on this thread. Congratulations to all who have recently received exciting admissions news! I realize that you are interested in compiling statistics, so I thought I’d give you one more data point. My son was accepted at MSM today - MM vocal performance.

princetonmom, welcome and congrats to both of you. Out of curiosity, did he do his ug at Princeton?

Yes, he did. Best experience of his life!

I ask because high level music at the Ivys, Yale, Harvard, Princeton and Columbia in particular, is a recurring topic of discussion here, and there are many misunderstandings and confusion about the opportunities and the specifics within each.

The best information comes from those with direct involvement within the program. Perhaps at some point he might want to detail his experiences here. I know it would be helpful to many.

Continued success to him.

His experience with music at Princeton was amazing! I’m sure he’d be willing to respond to any inquiries that I don’t happen to know the answers to. I just can’t recommend the school and the experience highly enough!

D got a no from MSM today (which I think she feels fine about, because she did a very good audition), so her final decision is Vanderbilt’s Blair for trombone! I think the right school found her. :)

D accepted today to MSM for flute performance w/ 10k yearly President’s Award.

Moonmaid, so noted. Good luck to her. And congrats again to a2flutemom and Daughter.

I have been following this page for a while, interesting and good information.
Thought I would add that S was accepted to Eastman for Jazz Bass last week
with $20,000 yearly merit award and Manhattan School of Music today. Still
waiting to hear about aid.

I am curious. I never hear of any mention of Westminster Choir College. Does anyone have any opinions or experiences on WCC?

Congratulations and welcome to Basstones and Son, and to dmikereyes as indicated here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/1081258-new-school-jazz.html</a>, post#21.

I was just accepted to The New School’s five year BA/BFA program for Arts/Jazz. Not sure if it’d be best to list it under The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music or just The New School…

27dreams, congrats. What is your intended BA major? If you’re unsure, I’ll list it as unspecified.
