Master List of Music School Acceptances, Fall 2012

My friend got into SFCM. I haven’t heard anything! I’m really worried…what if i’m rejected/!!! Anybody else hear from there?

LOS - Sent you a PM.

i just got into SFCM! Yay!!!

congrats, Lifeofsolitude!!

I just got accepted into ASU’s Music Education (Instrumental) program! I’m a percussionist. =)

Congrats Lmw! Where else did he audition?

Congratulations, LifeofSolitude. We’ve all been rooting for you!

Congrats Random and LOS!

My S also received his acceptance email from SF Conservatory today, BM in composition (piano is his instrument). And we can add to the database that from Cornish, he received an offer of $8,000 scholarship.

Son accepted at Herberger School of Music, Arizona State University, BM in trombone performance. Also to University of Oregon, and Cal State Long Beach, same degree. (IU acceptance reported earlier). Waiting on a few more…

Thank you all for the tremendous support! Even though I didn’t get into USC, perhaps SFCM is for the better. Still waiting to hear from NEC, CIM, Peabody, Rice, and UCLA.

When do we hear from them regarding merit scholarship?

Congratulations, Knitting Gene (and son) on SFCM for composition. I just spent many hours on a Sunday there for the Hot Air Festival, a marathon of nothing but new music.

Only place!, he attended fsu’s hs marching camp and tri-state the last two years. He was very determined. Felt like perfect fit for him. His sister is up there as well.
How about yours?

Congratulations, LOS! My St. Paddy’s Day wish for you and everyone else is the curse of having to make a difficult decision among many fine choices!!

Accepted to SFCM! :)

Thanks, Spirit. The Hot Air Festival sounds like lots of fun! If my son gets the opportunity to choose a different school, I’ll support him of course. But, I’m privately pulling for SF (not just because it’s my hometown and home of my favorite baseball team).

Congratulations Violionist1314!

BassDad - once again, kudos to you for putting the additional lists together by school and username. You sir, are a service to this site and the college music community (parents, students and schools) in general. Nice job!

Congratulations to Lifeofsolitude. RandomAc1206, KnittingGene and son, CAtbonemom and son, and violinist1314.

Lifeofsolitude, from a prior post I see that you play violin. I am going to assume that instrument and a BM in performance at San Francisco Conservatory unless you tell me otherwise.

RandomAc1206, I am going to assume that ASU is Arizona State University and not one of the other states that starts with A. Please correct me if I am wrong.

violinist1314, I am going to go out on a limb and guess that violin is your instrument. I am also guessing that you are going for a BM in Performance. Please let me know if any of that is wrong.

StoneMagic, thanks. Actually I have this all in an Excel spreadsheet that takes entries from a single table and produces the pseudo-HTML code that CC uses to generate all three reports. No additional work needed other than to add new entries to the table.

Yes, Bassdad that is correct!

Accepted into Temple and CIM so far! Got the official email from CIM yesterday. Still waiting to hear from Eastman, NEC, Oberlin.

Wanted to add that College of Charleston has offered my D a combined talent/merit scholarship of $6000/year for String and Jazz bass
