Math 16, Math 1

I am honestly so confused about this right now.

So if we take Math 16B, we cannot take Math 1A?

If for first semester i plan on taking Math 16A simply because i am not confident in my math skills at all (eventhough i took AP Calc in HS), what are some sample paths in terms of math that i can take?

I dont want to just do Math 16A and Math 16B, i eventually wanna work up to Math 1A/B and math 53/54 but it seems that if i start in the 16 series, i am restricted in terms of moving onto the 1 series.

For example, I cannot take Math 1A after taking Math 16B and also, I only receive 2 credits for Math 1b if i take Math 16B.

I dont understand!! somebody help. I'm pre-haas btw.

if you plan on going into 53/54 etc, i would strongly recommed you start with the 1 series over 16 because you will definitely not be as prepared as the people who stood the trial of math 1b here (major weeder class)

that being said, you are pre-haas…why would you want to put yourself through the hellish 1 series when you can get better grades in the 16 series?

also, you can’t take the 16 series and 1 series after that. its either one or the other.

i believe you can take 16a and 1b, but not 1a and 16b

i would double check with a haas advisor to be sure if i were you…

If you take 16A, you can take 1B (but not 1A)
If you take 1A, you can take 1B for 4 units OR you can take 16B for 2 units instead of 3
