I was wondering what the lowest math they can/will place you in if you don't do well on the math placement exam?
I read on the website something about if engineer majors don't place well, they will have to take courses at a community college.
wasn't sure if that same rule applied for business majors.
My math skills are super rusty... =/

i think…lowest might be math 4 but i’m not extremely sure so you should check
the mae was pretty easy in my opinion…

My friend is a pre-business major and she got placed into Math004. Don’t worry, you’ll have time to get to your required courses. :)

yeah I took it yesterday and it was a lot easier than I thought it’d be. =)

lol. Am I the only one that doesn’t really mind taking math004? I took alg2/trig/precalc my sophomore year and never took math again… so I was glad I didn’t have to take remedial math classes. I was really nervous about the test too. I believe I answered most of the alg1 correctly and a few of the graph stuff. I totally skipped all the cos tan sin stuff… and I got placed in math005. I’m going to ask to be put in math004 though.

I mean… they will place you in where they think you belong. There’s no use in taking a harder math class than you can handle. It’s just going to be a big burden on you. I rather refresh my memory and take everything one step at a time! (:

well, if you’re gonna go to a grad school
you should be thinking about getting into at least calculus
my major only requires one level of calc so i’'m just gonna retake ab :P

do you know when you’ll get the results?i took mine june 28.if i dont know before the orientation, will i know when i get there?

I got my results on Tuesday, and I took the test June 28th at 1:30PM.

I got placed into Math 004 also.
