for u who've already been to orientation ... how does the math placement work .. what is the highest class u can be placed into.... assuming u get 100% in the test

I'm pretty sure it depends on your major. If you are business i think you'll be placed into Math 117, 118, or 218 depending on your results. In my case i got 36 out of 40 right on the placement test and got over 100% in hs calculus...but unfortunately i didn't take AP in hs so i wasn't exempt from math 118 (calc). So i had to take calc at SC, it was more detailed than my hs class, but covered less material. I received the highest grade in the class which was nice. So don't fret if you get placed in something lower than u think u should be, cause hey, youll just set the curve on everything lol.

i'm engineering and i saw one freshman or facebook who went straight into math 226 .. im doing the first calc at community college right now in the summer course which is equivalent to math 125 ... so based on that could i go straight into 226

I thought Math 126 usually comes after 125.

"I thought Math 126 usually comes after 125."

It does, I think. I passed out of Math 125, because of my AP Calculus I AB class and am registered to take Math 126 (Calc II) next year.

Same here! Maybe we'll be in the same class or something.

Does anyone know if some of the topics in AP Calculus BC are all covered in Math 125 or if the harder topics (such as series, sequences) are in Math 126?

if we have already taken calc 3 at a credible university can we start with linear algebra or differential equations or what im so confused with this ****

do we have to take calc if we got a 4 on the AP test for ab calc?
