Can pre-calculus or discrete math be used to satisfy the math requirement for informatics? Or does it have to be statistics? I already have those two classes completed with a B or higher, but I do not have time to take a statistics course.
Which major at which campus? http://www.assist.org lists the following informatics majors:
Bioengineering: Bioinformatics B.S. (UCSD)
Bioinformatics B.S. (CSUSB, UCSC)
Biology with Specialization in Bioinformatics B.S. (UCSD)
Chemistry: Bioinformatics B.S. (UCSD)
Computer Science with Specialization in Bioinformatics B.S. (UCSD)
Health Science B.S. Informatics Option (CSUCI)
Informatics, B.S. (UCI)
You can also use http://www.assist.org to check which courses at your community college fulfills the requirements for the specific campus and major you are interested in.
Informatics, B.S. (UCI)
And I already know from assist that stats can fulfill this requirement, but i was wondering if there are other options.
The options should be listed on assist.org or the major website at UCI.
