I'm applying to Northwestern, and was wondering whether they would accept Math IIc and Math IC as two subject tests out of the required three, or would I have to sit Literature or French or whatever else I choose to do?

Doing level I math and level II seems sort of silly to me. Even if they "allowed" it, it would be in your interest to do something different.

Unless maybe you are strong in Level I but are only adequate in Level II. That way it may show that you are stretching or growing with your Level II test. But if you get a good level II score and just tack on level I for the heck of it... I imagine that it would look pretty lame to the admissions officer.

They don't require any SAT II tests...

they do for HPME and in that case you need specific ones...Math IIc, Chem, and one other, i think. i could be making that up. either way, take Math IIC anyway and don't take both.
