Worst case scenario I think I actually got 41.25… That’s like 780 on sparknotes but what about with the curve? This test was easier then sparknotes practice tests even.

questions:
something about f(x) =x^4-4x+1 g(x)=f(x)+2? was the answer II and III (they have on intersection and same range)?
and another one is like its symmetric with x=3, what is f(7)?

Sorry to post this up again. my previous question went unanswered

For the standard deviation problem, can someone explain why the answer wasn’t the graph with all four bars of equal height?

symmetric with x=3
f(-1) = f(-1)
so does f(7) = f(7)

also, the about about 3,2 reflected over y = -x?

symmetric with x=3
f(-1) = f(-1)
so does f(7) = f(7)
^
Wait so what was the answer?

also, the about about 3,2 reflected over y = -x?

^
I said (-3,-2)

Whew, I feel better after hearing some of my educated guesses confirmed!

Is the log one in fact 19 and not 18? I put 19 because it was like 18.2 something, but to get the max at 300,000 you’d need to go up one more n.

(-2, -3) for that one, I think.

@envymealways

I got the same answer (II and III) for that problem

crib, I said (-2, -3). (-3, -2) was my other option…

I also got II and III they intersected once and had the same minimum
The x=3 might have been -1 because f(-1) = -1 so I plotted point (-1,-1) and reflected it over x=3 and got coordinates x = 7 and y = -1

the reflection over y=-x one was -2,-3

the x and y’s have to switch places and signs.

what was the number for the “which of these shows
y as a function of x” question?

approximations??

crib, I said (-2, -3). (-3, -2) was my other option…
^
Yeah I was thinking either or. Which is the right answer? |D

Edit:
The reflection of the point (x, y) across the line y = -x is the point (-y, -x).

So the correct answer is (-2,-3)

what was the choice for the last question . answer: 0.92387

What about the Quadrant one, believe I put it in Quadrant II

QIII for quadrant

was #50 answer choice D?

Dumb question, but the average speed was 5X and 1/3 km/hr? X stands for the one’s place that I don’t remember.

it was -2, -3 i think

QIII for quadrant
^ What question was this?

Ok if you reflect 3,2 over y = -x you go 3 to the left and two down so (-3,-2)

@Selena
It’s two. Plug in 0 for y and you get the x intercepts.

Anyways, I thought May was okay!
