May 2013 - Mathematics Level 2

Anyone can recall more questions?

So far I think I missed 1 and I omitted 4. An 800 is probably attainable but I might have missed a couple more but idk. I think I screwed up Physics though. My Physics teacher did not do a thing about Electricity and Magnetism and covered half of Mechanics.

What about the y=x-1 question in which two line intersect at (a,b)? I omitted that one.

^ I got whichever one had x/2 → i just graphed each one and i think x/2 met with it in the 1st quadrant (it said both a and b > 0 so I hope that’s right!)

this test was so difficult. so was chem

im gonna retake in june

Math level 2:
the answer to the sd one was 0,log one was 32/81,f(9/2) was 3/4,period was 2,matrix was 0 (since a/c=b/d —> ac-bd=0),sin2x=1,2sinx=asecx,…and the answer to a question(forgot) was -.4226…median would be least affected,sin theta =sin fi…—>fi=pi-theta,cone cylinder thingy-3,f(t) one–t is imaginary,complex question…letter A,the (a,b) question—y=x-1–>y=x/2 +1,(a=4,b=3),f(x)-g(x)— 2-x^2,the x intercept question x(x+2)=0…cuts the x axis twice,probability one was 1/6,the question about questions worth 3 points/8 points…the score can be even or odd…the score cant be 13…the score must be a multiple of 3/8(this part is incorrect too),the token probability one —0 (this question was on the math 2 right?)…f(4.2) one ----25.52…the graph one mod sinx and -sinx,…the inverse one----f(5)=1/4…the slope of line segment AB one—1/(sqrt7+sqrt5)…the circle one—tan120degrees— = -sqrt3…the bacteria one feb and august (t is in radian…find the period etc pretty easy)…forgot the other questions…

i got all correct in the math level 2 paper but omiited one question in the math level 1 paper (idk the meaning of ‘least square regression line’) Can i still get an 800 in the math level 1?(all other answers are correct hopefully)

Does anyone remember what a question meant when it asked which one is not a value of f(x)? choice were like 0.5, 1, etc. It had a square root.

Coder90, I think the equation was 1 + something under a radical, and it couldn’t be 0.5 because that would mean that the value of the radical portion would have to be -0.5, which isn’t possible

Yea not sure I put 1 for my answer

The answer was .5 The question was f(X)=1+ sqrt(3X-5)

Does anyone remember what the equation was for the proportion problem? Like it was 75% of the proportion or something

@Watermark123 - i put 65 for the proportion problem

anyone remember the 3 equations with the 3 variables (a, b & c) ? they asked you to find c. did anyone get that one?

11.9 on like the area of the triangle

@watermark123 the equation was p(t)= ((t^2)/(t-10))^2

I’m scared, I omitted 4, and I think so far I may have missed 2, but maybe even more to come…What do you think the curve will be like? Is the general consensus hard, average, or (I don’t think so) easy? I really hope 42~ is 800 or so. Soooo nervous. Most of my answers match with those here in CC, but it’s just those 2 that are frustrating me so much. I know omit 4 miss 2 is 800, but if I miss another, I might go over the edge. Sooo nervous. Soooo nervous that I actually said that twice.

I just got great news! Apparently one of the ones I thought I answered incorrectly is in fact correct thanks to blind luck. Feeling a little better, but I still hope the curve is STRONG. ~42 would be very nice, thank you very much.

Sorry, I don’t mean to spam this thread, but when can we start posting answers? I’d like to contribute soon…

i omitted 5 questions in total. what was the answer for the circle with the angle asking for tan theta?

for the ellipse one, did you guys get like something + (root 3) /4 = something?
