Mays Business School

I plan on entering TAMU in the fall of 2012 majoring in business. Business has always interested me but because of required classes I have never been able and never will be able to take any business related classes in high school. Will this be a problem going in cold with little business knowledge? Also, if it matters I'm stuck on step 3 on my TAMU application. How long until I will be accepted? I'm an auto admit and applied August 2nd?

I can’t say when you will be accepted but what I can tell you is I went into college without any credits earned in high school. I did all the business classes such as micro economics / macro economics, financial accounting, managerial accounting, business math, business calc, business speaking, throw in business law and I think that is most of the “business” related courses you would take throughout your first two years. I am finally going into upper level and I would imagine that all the previous business related classes were just a taste of what is to come.

I would not sweat not having any of those courses complete in high school. Maybe a semester or two you will have to take an extra class compared to someone who did take econ in high school but really it isn’t anything to worry about.
