Meaning of Status?

I realize that there are three main status' before decisions come out, "outstanding items", "Ready For Review", and then one about waiting for a midyear report...

So I have a question: Can you get rejected before they see your midyear report? I'm wondering because my senior grades are considerably better than any other year, so if you CAN get rejected before they see your midyear grades, I would figure it unlikely that I would be rejected if my application gets past the "Ready for Review" stage...

So do they definately wait to see midyear grades to make a decision? Or do they sometimes narrow the pool beforehand?

The Information Session states that they do not make any admissions decision without a midyear transcript, unless you are an exceptional candidate and they admit you immediately.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they do reject a few people w/o midyear grades, but you’d have to be a fairly lackluster applicant.

So today it changed to Reviewed- Decision Pending…

Does this usually turn into accepted or refused? Or does it mean nothing at all

Ah.
That.

My friend got that.

He did some digging on the McGill Class of 2012 admissions thread and seems to think that there was no overall trend, admit or deny, they just put it off until later.

it sends you an email saying to check the site, your decision has been made:

basketballbabe13,

Are you sure you’re posting that in the right place?

Because it doesn’t seem very relevant to his wondering about how his “Reviewed - Decision Pending” status will turn out.
