Mechanical pencils vs. wooden pencils

I love wooden pencils.

Pens for the win!! I hate pencils because I get lead all over my hand when I write with them (curse left-handedness!).

^ That's the same reason why I hate pens, except minus the left-handedness. I'm right-handed, but I don't hold pens right so I get the ink all over my fingers when I use them (I hold them too close to the tip). My AP World teacher told me she'd get me to use a pen right and tried all year, but without success.

The feel of wooden pencils gross me out too.

TICONDEROGA FTW. Have any other ticon. fans seen the black ones? I love them much more than one should love a pencil.

Can I see some picture of these pencils you speak of? I am very interested.

definitely mechanical pencils..

hate when the tip breaks on my black Ticonderogas.

ticonderogas or mechanicals, depending on my mood.
usually, if I feel like paying attention and taking organized notes its mechanical. if I feel like doodling I go with the ticonderogas. or my new love, pilot precise v5 pens--fantastic for doodling on one's skin

I love wooden pencils.
I somehow always break mechanical ones.

mechanical pencils ftw!
i've used mechanical since about 4 years ago in 6th grade. 0.5 lead is the only lead i use. 0.7 is too dark.

Amandeep they are just like Dixon Ticonderogas only they are black instead of yellow and the have a black eraser and silver lettering instead of green.

0.5 Mechanical because wooden ones require sharpening...

Bring your own pencil sharpener to class and you won't have to get up.

Wooden pencils. I'm no tool!

0.7 mm mechanical... The sharpeners are crap and I'm anal retentive about them- most personal sharpeners make the shaved part all stubby and short and the ones the teacher has typically just ruin it.
I love plain, inexpensive Bic mechanical pencils. Also, I don't refill the lead, I just buy new pencils. Bad habit that carries over from wooden pencils. I bring a pen and a pencil to each class pretty much, too.

Ditto!

10char

I hate pencils.

PENS FTW!!

I like wooden pencils and sometimes .7 mm mechanical. I can't use .5 mm lead because I break the lead every other word I write. Wooden pencils are cheap (48 for a dollar), and I love to sharpen pencils with a knife.

Wasn't creepy at all, lol.

Mechanical. I need to use .5 lead because I have tiny handwriting that is basically impossible to read when written with anything thicker (i.e. a wooden pencil).

mechanical hands down!
