Medical Clinics 24 hour?

Hi,

I need to get a physical before August 1st. It's hard to complete for me cause #1 I don't have a doctor here and #2. I won't go back until after August.

Any suggestions? Yellow pages doesn't provide much. And that one health place at Cornell is mad at me.

a physical is really just a test of blood pressure, temperature and body...

where are you? ithaca? i dont get what you mean by MAD at you?

i would go here:

Cayuga Medical Center Inpatient Services

look for convenient care center...

a physical is usually much more than a blood pressure and temperature check.

gracias. tenchar

the cornell required one does not require you to undergo bloodwork, etc...if you opt out of it

But you need to get the meningitis vaccine (unless you have personal convictions), a PPD test, and the doc has to fill out the crazy health form.

PPD test and meningitis are not required but you render liability :)

hence I said "unless you have personal convictions"

It actually said the Physical Exam was "recommended" for students, not required...hmm.

You need to submit the health form...otherwise you get in trouble with Cornell. Happened to a friend of mine...they almost deregistered him from class.

lol@turnheadandcough

yeah basically it's what athletes get...

so if you're a jock and played sports spring semester you may not even need to get one done...

I called Cornell before and asked them about this, but you should call as well and verify.

'Unless you're playing in a sport, you do not need to get the physical, but it is recommended.'

I'm fairly sure this is what I was told, but please recall before taking my word for it.

basically they want a physical in cases of liability...

basically if your doc says you have a bad back they know you cant blame cornell for that if you have an accident on campus...
