Mets Game

Has anyone else heard if the 2010 class will be at the game tomorrow, 7/25? It's on the calendar for August 9th but my son thought they he had changed it. Also wondered if the station covering the game gets any footage of the new Plebe Candidates?

Last year the mids were all up on the jumbotron(sp?).

Just wanted to add that it was a GREAT night out for the plebes, especially as they received so many high-fives and accolades from the audience. Some super star even offered them his private box!

The games are on Sports New York which you might be able to get on your satellite. Otherwise I'd watch sports center and look for them there. Also there is an online service called MLB TV but that costs a few bucks.

Nope, they aren't at the game tonight. I'm saying this because the Cubs are playing the Mets tonight & I've been glued to WGN trying to see Dress Whites anywhere. They aren't there..... But the Cubs are actually ahead, those dawgs. :)
You be quiet Boss.

its goin to happen sometime in august they said

~gina

The original schedule said August 9th so maybe that's still the plan. Can't wait to see you all on the big screen!

I hear that they are going tonight to the game.

I hope so because I have a friend at WFAN and he got me two tickets for the game so we're driving down to the game - all the way from CT <wink></wink>

Looks like it was a great game. Mets catcher Mike Piazza hit 2 home runs. Josh Barfield homered once for San Diego. New York power pitcher Pedro Martinez (3.48 ERA, 122 strike-outs) was credited with the win and Billy Wagner with his 100mph fastball got the save. 4 runs, 10 hits, and 1 error for New York compared to 3 runs, 4 hits and no errors for San Diego. I hope the peanuts and Cracker Jacks were good, too!

Jamzmom, thanks for the advice about getting online with them tonight. I not only got some stories, but also some photos taken on my son's camera of the midshipmen in their white uniforms. The young men and women in their blazing white uniforms apparently caused quite a stir. He and his classmates got one photo on his camera with a girl. But lots of girls brought their camera, so it went on and on. Here are his (brief) stories:

Some guy was like, “Wow those uniforms are white! I bet you used bleach; I need to use a lot and lot of bleach and….” Then someone was like “Shut up!" then someone yelled "George Bush is an a******" and other people were like "We support what your doing, keep it up…USA!!!" And girls wanted me in their pictures….

Correction. Sorry, had Piazza on wrong team!

I hope they have pictures on line.

My son sounded excited on IM last night. He was amazed at how supportive the fans were, he said they were cheered when they came into the stadium.

He was also pretty excited that girls wanted to pose for pictures with him.

He also learned that those TIDE spot remover pens were very handy to have when dressed in all white!

Sorry Bossf51, Mad Dog is not a personal friend it's the sales dept that supports my habit! It was a great night and the kids looked great. They were so proud and the smiles never stopped. Quite a few parents/families were there and we all had plenty of time to spend with our P/Cs. I have to laugh because I did hear one group of the boys trying to pick up some of the local NY gals..."Well hello there young ladies..." very cute. Personally, it was great to see so many of the faces that I have been seeing on the Indoc photos. They all seem like family now!

Here are some of the pics from the game: <a href="http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?userid=nymets&gallery_id=463625&image_id=33%5B/url%5D">http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?userid=nymets&gallery_id=463625&image_id=33</a></p>

My son is the one on the far right.

Thanks for the link KP82/10. My son is in one of the photos of 2nd Co holding up their banner (he's the one on the left). Great photos!
