so if i applied EA and have yet to hear back does that mean i did not get into farmer
@cgraham547 No, not at all. A small percentage of the EA applicants have high scores and they admitted those students first. You will find out about acceptance on Feb 1st, not sure about when you will find out if you made it into Farmers or not. My son also applied to Farmer.
If you don’t get in the Feb 1st round, they will consider you with regular applicants, there will be no denials until those decisions go out based on what the admissions rep said.
@bbaker10 okay great thanks so much i was worried!
does anyone know if decisions will be feb 1st or earlier??! or what time on feb 1st??
@cgraham547 From what the people said that already received their decisions the first round, Miami sends an email and the decision would be available after midnight.
thank you!! @bbaker10
Early Action should hear back tonight at midnight, letters were mailed today…
Ugh!! The waiting is horrible! Lol
Whoop, Whoop! My son was accepted! Yeah!!! He is so excited!
how do we find out how much merit aid we received? i know i qualified but it wasn’t on my acceptance thing online
When my son was admitted in December, we got a snail mail letter a few days later with the merit aid info.
Has everyone received their decisions? I applied early action but didn’t get a decision yet
Accepted. Didn’t get into farmers
Accepted but did not get into farmers as well. Still super excited, the wait is finally over!
@vaibhavm99 even I havent received mine
Daughter received a deferral letter! Bummed! She has stellar resume that with amazing achievements and leadership. Her GPA was low freshman year due to illness, but has been 4.0 since. Test scores were average, 1210 SAT 3.7 gpa if I recall correctly. We have friends that have kids there and they said last year they admitted so many students that they had to rent apartments off campus, around Oxford just to house everyone. Said that they made a big mistake and were not as selective as they could have been. Could be putting the brakes on this year and taking their time. Anyway, she has 6 other acceptance letters from really good schools. If they offer her a better scholarship package, then it won’t matter anyway (especially since we are paying for it)! Anyone else receive defferal letter? Just heard from another parent and their daughter received the same letter.
Accepted and direct admit into farmers. Does anyone know about when we will receive scholarship info? That’s basically all I’m waiting on since I’ve already committed technically to another school. (non-binding commitment)
@collegeDAD2017 My daughter and her friend both got deferral letters… Daughter has 3.7 unweighted GPA 24 ACT, multi-sport athlete & tons of service leadership. Her friend has 3.6 unweighted GPA, 24 ACT, leadership… Both girls were accepted everywhere else they applied and earned scholarship money. Does anyone know what % of deferrals end up being accepted?
I got accepted to the arts and sciences but denied from farmers with a 3.67 GPA unweighted and 21 ACT. I get nervous test taking and tend to get mind blocks. Honestly surprised I was accepted, but I did have very serious health issues throughout my high school career so maybe they saw something in my essay? I have no idea. I also applied regular decision and already got my notice in the portal.
My son heard yesterday, got accepted. 3.4 GPA, 24 ACT, but lots of volunteer, great essay, extra curricular and sports all four years. Also communicated with our regional representative from Miami and did a campus tour which they say helps. We are also from out of state so will be paying more. Not sure if we will get any merit money $. Hoping tho.
