Well, the distance between the Middle Earth's commons and Mesa Court housing is like a ten minute walk or five minute bike ride. It's not like as if each commons are going to give you the look of "GTFO of our commons".

Oh, a question I have that I'm getting mixed messages on: Is Mesa supposed to be the 'party' dorm? And is there a lot of smoking/drinking going on there?

That's what most people say. Whether that's true or not I have no idea. The guys in the suite upstairs are always noisy and drinking and I know quite a few other people who say their hall likes to party. I've been to a few dorm parties here in Mesa and their fun but partying off campus is much better so you don't have to worry about getting caught by an RA.

@pamplemousse

Not really. It's really quiet around here compared to M.E. Whether your dorm is a party dorm it depends on the hall and varies from year to year.

has anyone applied for housing yet? i just did it and it didnt give me the option of which housing i want to be in yet.. do i have to wait for a whole new form or is this for everyone?

yeah i just signed up online
and all it asked was to rank if i wanted residential hall or arroyo vista

are they going to send us another form later?

so u didnt fill out that thing about the roommate yet?

So when it tells you to pay 20 bucks, you don't go into details about theme halls and what-not?

no...did you?

no they ask you to rank 1st choice and 2nd choice (either res. hall or arroyo vista) and then that's it
they kind of said that they were going to send housing info and stuff
but im not sure

Ok. I'm offically an "anteater". Wow.

yeah me too. i SIRed 2 hours ago.

How long do you think it'll take for the housing thing? Do we get it in May, in the mail?

You should get the actual contract you need to sign sometime in May. If you want to room with a friend make sure you send it in as soon as you get it.

Oh ok. Thanks!

What's res. hall and arroyo vista?

res. hall is residential hall either mesa court or middle earth. arroyo vista from what i gather from a friend that attends UCI is the housing for sophomores but i didnt press him for information

and pamplemousse25 and jhuscla you are not officially an anteater, they can always rescind their admission based on your senior grades so keep them up

is there a chance that they'll rescind my admission if I get a 3.0 weighted flat in my academic classes??

Yeah, I know they can rescind it, but I don't plan on dropping my grades (never have, never will, sadly), so at least, to me, I am.
