Middlebury ED Class of 2014

deferred…

do you guys know approximately how many percent got rejected ? (I’m asking for my friend)

Congratulations to all of you (and whose sons and daughters) got accepted! And if you were deferred, don’t worry; whichever college you end up going (including Middlebury RD), you will be happy  At least, I think and hope so.

Again, according to The Campus, there were 665 EDI applications. If the class of 2014 is slated to be 600 students (including febs) and 45% of the class is accepted ED I that’s 270 acceptances and 395 either deferred or rejected. Truth in advertising: I was an English major so if my math is bad…

If we’re rejected, there’s no way we can apply for Regular Decision, right?
So depressed. Middlebury was first on my list. :/

I was deferred as well… A lot of people who applied ED at my school are also getting deferred and we’re considered academically an extremely strong school… Is deferral a new trend? It seems a bit like a cop out. I would much rather a yes or no because otherwise Middlebury could just be stringing me along.

oh, and by the way the people at my school who applied ED applied to a variety of schools. I think I may be the only one who applied to Middlebury (out of 75 students)

I’m in. Can’t wait to meet all of you!
