I was accepted Early Action to Northeastern with a pretty standard scholarship package ($22,000 in grants) and I was going to talk to my admissions counselor about possibly appealing or just seeing if I could get anything else BUT my midyear report is NOT looking good right now. I am getting a C in AP Biology and a C+ in AP Literature because (insert weak justification here) and I am so terrified that I might have my admittance rescinded, never mind any extra scholarships. My other grades are as follows with the 1st grade being the 1st quarter grade and the 2nd grade being 2nd quarter:

AP Literature - B, C+
World Affairs (H) - A, (dont know yet, but probably an A)
AP Biology - B, C
Calculus (H) - B, B+
Physics - B+, B
Spanish 3 - A, A
Band - A+, A+

Can someone please weigh in on whether or not this midyear report will be my downfall?

You should be fine. Grades aren’t perfect, but you’re not failing and that’s pretty much what it takes to get rescinded. As far as appealing, your grades shouldn’t affect whether or not you get more aid. I doubt they’ll even look at them if/when they reconsider your file.

The hardest part will be getting to talk to an officer…I contacted mine last Monday with no answer, and no answer to a follow up this Monday.

that is a huge relief, thank you novafan!
and TomSr I figured that, but I have no idea when I’ll even be receiving my initial need-based aid package; I searched all over the website and found nothing :/

I got into early action and already got my financial aid stuff! I submitted my FAFSA and CSS around january 9th and got it the 26th. i never got an email or anything i just checked. go to your myNEU and click the self-service tab, and click my financial aid status on the right
