Hey guys, I have a few questions.

I might Fail or receive a D in a class because some ridiculous circumstances. I had to submit two research papers online but instead I brought them in class. I later emailed my professor on the same day that I did not realize we had to submit them online. So I might fail the class if I don't receive credit for the papers :[

First question: Does a "D" count towards unit completion? I'm assuming an "F" does not of course.

Second question: Can I take a summer course that ends before the July 15th deadline for transcripts to make up the units?

I would be 1.4 units short if I do fail the class. GUHHHHHH

thanks for any help :[

i think a D counts toward credit completion, but I’m not a 100% sure. What school is this for? Call them up and explain your situation, they might let you take a class in the summer, which is what happened to me last year. Usually the admissions office is pretty understanding(depending on the school). Good luck!

Yes, a D will still count in terms of units, so you’d have that going for you. But, as you already know, your app will still get sent to the review committee to determine whether to recind your acceptance.

Don’t get an F, because then you’ll have two strikes against you at the review: lack of units and lack of at least a C. :P

Good luck.

Its for UCSD – I gave them a call and they said they do not allow units in the summer.

guhh.

My best bet is to take a summer course that ends before the transcript deadline I think…I have no idea if that will help at all

Any help would be great :]

Do credit by examination, not sure how your CC policy works. But some UC transferrable classes can be taken via credit by examination. There are a lot of ways, just dig a little.
