oh wait they wont find out my 3rd quarter grades right? they’d have no way of knowing. my school only sends semester grades. so if i do get un-accepted, it would be after i already (potentially) commit to duke. plus i dont plan on getting a C 4th quarter

i’m kind of in the same situation as you, only with ap calc and honors physics. ap calc and ap spanish are not easy classes, so i’m sure they’ll take that into account. and the fact that your gpa remains the same will probably help you. duke obviously wants you if they accepted you, so i don’t think c’s in a couple of classes will make them rescind your acceptance. if you had straight c’s and d’s, though, that would probably raise some eyebrows.

Yeah, my grades aren’t too great either. A smattering of A’s, B’s, and a C+ (horrors!) I’ll get 'em up though, I have to prove to myself that I’m not that lazy.

I got one too! Do you know if Duke offers any merit aid?

ahhhhh, I got one too!!! Praise God!!! I cant believe it!!!
I hope this means we are likely to get merit aid bc I cant afford $50k a year!!!

AAAAHHH!! I’m officially pumped for college!!

Go Bluedevils!!!

Congrats all!

There IS merit aid, but it’s pretty competitive. By last year this time, folks already knew (at least by way of Duke up Close or Robertson invites ) if they were “contenders”. But I don’t really know, as my daughter was not a "contender for merit OR need. But there is need based aid for close to 50 percent of students.

Omg I’m so excited… I just got the email. I want to go to bsai so badd but my parents don’t sound too happy about the bread. I at least want to to to Blue Devil Days. I’m so psyched cuz I was really worried. Anyway it is a real honor.
