Like the title says, I've missed a pretty big chunk of my second semester here at UTD, and by big chunk, I mean almost 2 and a half months. I have proper documentation of the illness as well as a Doctor that can verify my condition during the period that I missed. I know that with the proper documentation, professors have to allow students to retake tests, but what happens with a situation where a student misses multiple test/quizzes(2 tests for 2 class, 3 for another, two research papers, and a crap load of quizzes)? With about a month left in the semester, I believe I can cram all the material I've missed and take all the exams/quizzes(not the same one's that were already given out of course) as well. Still, my question is, will they allow me to do this or will I simply fail all my classes and, after consideration from some sort of committee or board, have my failing grades not count towards my GPA? Or am I just completely screwed with a GPA that's going to tank?

I think they’d be lenient with proper documentation. Letting you make up the exams make sense. Did you contact them beforehand? That might change things. Worse case scenario, you have to withdraw from your classes. It will show up as WF on transcript, meaning failing grad at time of withdrawal. Deadline for that is apr 23. Good luck, I hope you’re better now!

Thanks. I’m good enough to go to class and that’s all that really matters. I contacted a few professors while I was sick, but not all. I’d forgotten to contact a 2 of them though. I’d rather not get a WF is possible since it would still hurt my gpa. I’m just wondering if professors are required to allow test/quiz make-ups given that the proper documentation is provided.
