I just apply to CSU and it said I'm missing one semester of math does that really affect me? I got a B on the first semester and an D on my second semester for Alg 1/2 during my freshman year.

This page from CSU mentor will explain it and how to make up missing courses. Otherwise see your counselor.

If you got a C or higher in a higher level algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, or statistics course, you will have validated a lower level algebra course.

You still need 3 years of Math for CSU eligibility so if you only have 3 years including your Freshman year, then you are 1 semester shy of the 3 years. Are you taking Math Senior year??? If not, you will need 1 semester to make up for
Freshman year or you are ineligible for CSU’s. Contact your GC immediately.
