--MIT Early Action Countdown Thread--

I want tube tube tube tube tube.

same here Alcator! But I have a feeling MIT's not going to release decisions early.

2 days 56 minutes.

As if you didn't already know, here is how much time is left. >> Did I Get Into MIT?

Ahhh I cannot stand this wait! I have been off CC since Thursday, not by choice though! The power/phones/internet has been out in my town and surrounding towns since then, and it's all not supposed to come back until Wednesday at the earliest!! I am sitting in a Stop and Shop using their free wifi, and I guess I will be back here tomorrow night at 9 pm! This sucks, we aren't having school for a while either so that won't take my mind off things tomorrow. I have been re-reading the Harry Potter series in order to forget about all this, but...ahhhhh! Stop and Shop is saving me with their wifi now though, and I'll admit, the first thing I did when I got here was check the MIT website, juuuuuuust in case.

yeah I haven't been on CC in the past few days cause I just forgot....I'm so stressed like centimeters (above) I can totally see myself being deferred and accepted...hopefully the latter! Good luck to everyone; I hope we all get tubes !

Big Tube, Big Tube, No Whammy, No Whammy : )

From a Yale SCEAer, good luck! We all bear the burden of finding out last, but I hope that the news you receive will be positive. And if not, I wish you the best in all your other applications.

I don't know how I'm going to get through school tomorrow-- I'll probably be looking at the clock every 2 seconds.

there's snow today (in an area of the country that gets pretty much no snow ever) so we're hoping that school will be closed tomorrow! hope hope hope!

otherwise, I will probably be dying a thousand deaths every second I'm at school.

oh my god.

staying home might be worse for me because then all I would do is refresh CC and check decisions.mit.edu all day!

omgggg. the same, elcoco!!! I want to badly to get into MIT, so I wouldn't have to apply to my safties!!!!!! wahhhhhhh

i think staying home would be terrible...haha

u are goiing to have nothing to think about except the decision all day....i would go to school and that will probably keep your mind off of it for at least some periods of time

Good luck to all you EA people waiting for decisions! I remember the jumble of feelings from last year. Keep yourself distracted, and the time will come... soon, a little over twenty-four hours! You can do it! On that note, I'm surprised no one's mentioned an AIM/web chat room yet. It did wonders keeping me distracted last year, having about twenty people in one room ranting together =)

Ugh I'll be studying for my apchem exam all day tomorrow ]: Such a stressful day! I know that I will be deferred or rejected, so that is really going to screw me up when I try to take my exam on tuesday ]:

^^^good idea. we all should do it. lol.

^That sounds like a good idea for tomorrow.

I'm gonna be at a choir rehersal from about 3:30 to 8:00 PM EST tomorrow. It's gonna be torture.

hah unless you're like me... 2 exams monday = fail because of impending decisions, 2 exams tuesday = fail because of no sleep no matter what the decision is. Hopefully i'll get in so these grades don't matter!

OMG! let's make a chat room! haha

No, no, I wouldn't stay home, I could just do fun things with my friends other than going to school. much better for the psyche.
