I also tutor ap chem lol (despite the 4, due to the stated reason above) (for free though)

Yes being interrupted would be horrible, seems like they could have waited until the end to have you do that,

yes, especially to fill something out during a timed test. lol. Keep track of time as well. Overall I felt like the exam was pretty easy if you had an innate sense of chem. You won’t believe how many epiphanies you’ll have just by rereading topics you learned before.

my teacher has us taking a bunch of practice quizzes and a mock exam soon, so im hoping these will help, i feel comfortable with the material, but last year i felt the same about APUSH and I got a 3 :(, so Im trying to really prepare this year, i have been studying the Barrons Ap chem book

barron’s is good. The lovely thing about ap chem (and psych, and hug, and macro, and gov, and calc) is you just have to answer the question. so just answer the question lol.

Calculus is evil yet I love it

And isn’t collegeboard changing the format this year for AP Chem test 2014? That’s the only thing that has me worried. But they did say it should be more broad (the questions), and a little easier.

hahaha thanks again

@luckystar888 Yes! They are changing the format! They are adding lab questions, which include knowing what each equipment is used for and etc. it also add spectra (ionization graphs) and a lot of other stuff. They got rid of some stuff as well.

Yeah, they’re changing the format but not by a lot. and my friend got a 1 on ap chem and a 780 on SAT chem. xD

@SigmaVGC Ok, that’s what I thought! Not sure if I should be relieved or not /: They are taking our organics and nuclear chem right? But on the SAT Chem, all the categories are on there )X

@Fredsterboard Do you think if I read the SAT Barron Chem to prepare for BOTH the SAT chem test and AP Chem test, then I’d be fine? I’ve had an A the whole semester for AP chem

They’re very different so I’d advise studying for them separately. you’ve only done a semester of ap chem? o.O

@Fredsterboard OPPS, my bad, I’m taking AP Chem currently, but we just finished taking our last test, so I’ve had AP Chem for 2 semesters with A’s both semesters XD. sorry. and are they really that different? The ap and SAT test? even if they go over the same concepts?

Yes, very different unfortunately. Ap chem is pretty straightforward with its questions while sat chem is like the SAT for its style of questions.

so just study both separately.

I unfortunately have to go to sleep so I’ll be back on this page tomorrow, If you have any questions just inbox me here or message me on facebook. Goodnight guys! and only 5 more days!

OH GOSH. Well, if the AP chem test is as straightforward as you say, then I’ll spend more time on the SAT Chem studying. We’ve been taking a lot of old AP chem test exams in class and I fell pretty solid. Without studying, I get about 80% on the multiple choices. Thanks for the advice!

If you’re getting 80% on the mocks then you’re set. The test is easier than the old mocks. and you’re welcome c:

@jlwashin are the results coming out tommorrow?
