I remember when I was in 5th grade, I wanted to be a 4th grade teacher in the future. lol

I wanted to be a U.S. Marshal or FBI agent.

I always wanted to be various cartoon characters when I was really young. The day I found out pokemon wasn’t real was one of the most depressing days in my life.

I wanted to build robots when I was in elementary school. I even had a company called ROEU (Robots of Every Use) planned out.

Wanted to be a computer tech lol. Now I’m building engines and fabricating things on a daily basis… my dreams sure shaped me though :3

3-6: Professional Baseball Player (preferably MN Twins
7-9: Same, but with the added ambition to be a Super Saiyan (please tell me someone gets the reference) Also when I realized I sucked at baseball I wanted to be a PA announcer for a sports team.
10-12: Still a PA announcer. KIIIRRBYY PUUUCCKKETTT!!!
12-14: A sports car designer.
15-17(present): Something Business related, preferably an entrepreneur/investor.

I wanted to be a garbage man. The one that got to ride on the back of the truck!

Funny how the one on the back has a worse job than the driver. Now I think of their employer saying, “Hell no I’m not letting him drive our trucks! Put him on the back.”

actress and honestly i still do! but back then i wanted to be a super world famous movie star haha… now i’m going into theatre. but when i was maybe 5, i wanted to be a newpaper carrier/ballerina/vet. all at the same time :p

In my earliest memories of “when I grow up” I really wanted to be a teacher, I don’t know why… then I realised it was not a profession suited for someone like me as I lacked patience.
After that, I was interested in the idea of being a pediatrician, diplomat or writer, I even wanted to be an orthodontist at one point.
Then when I was around eleven, I thought I would either become a psychologist or a dermatologist.
Last year, I played around with the idea of becoming a critic (esp. a book or film critic). Around that time I was also keen on becoming a professor or cartoonist.
I don’t quite know anymore…

1- All I wanted to do was eat oranges in school. (weird, I know)

Third-sixth standard, I wanted to be a writer. Enid Blyton was my idol (I still admire her a lot). My (cousin) brother and I wrote mysteries and comics loads of times together that remained unfinished because we used to stop as soon as he left (what used to keep us going was competition with each other:rolleyes: <3).

In 8th/9th standard, I wanted to become a lawyer. Social studies was my favorite subject and the Civics teacher adored me. Or the editor of Vogue.

In 10th standard I wanted to work in the animation industry. Or do hotel reviews (that way I’d get to live in all amazing hotels for free). Or do journalism. Or do book reviews for a newspaper. Or be a diplomat.

In 11th standard, I flirted with the idea of doing engineering. Like every effing science student in my country. For a very short while, although fates played against me and did everything they could to keep me in this field, I emerged victorious!!!

In 12th grade, I wanted to become a spy. Or a ninja. Also work for human rights.

There was also this time when all I wanted to do was earn a lot of money quickly and then just settle in the countryside. So peaceful, no worries. Just the green serene countryside, my book and me. (And my takeaway pizza of course. ;)) This was before I realized that I couldn’t throw away my life like that, and plus I’d be the last person to be taking care of cows, etc. Except, my farm wasn’t supposed to have any animals apart from dogs, donkeys, horses, lions, tigers, giraffes and elephants. It was just supposed to be very picturesque and very clean. Also, I don’t think I imagined it to be in my country at all.

I still want to do that deep down, but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen.
Haha, SAME. Except I don’t remember when that was.
Aww, this thread is cute!:)

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade: Paleontologist. I was convinced I was gonna find dinosaur bones in my backyard and literally spent at least three to four hours a day just digging in the dirt. Then I went to this dinosaur museum convention and asked the person there what the chances were of finding dinosaur bones in my backyard and they replied with “extremely small, there are certain places you need to look” blah blah blah. and i was like “****”.

3rd grade: Uhhm, I don’t remember, but I kept putting down ‘teacher’ when they always asked us, just to suck up to my teacher and get a good grade.

4th grade: Marine Biologist - We were watching Voyage of the Mimi that year.

5th grade: Archaeologist - We were watching Voyage of the Mimi Part Two that year.

6th-7th grade: Astronaut

8th grade: Pilot or Aerospace Engineer

9th grade: Physicist or mathematician

Now, I’m effing confused. What I want to be changes pretty much every week from lawyer, to stockbroker, or biochemist, back to paleontologist, archaeologist, and marine biologist, to engineer, to international journalist, to hobo. lol i dunno. i feel like I want to do everything, and if I pick one thing, I’ll feel as if I’m missing out on everything else.

When i was like 6 i wanted to be an NBA Player or a wrestler

10 years later, Now i want to be some sort of engineer lol.

When I was a little kid I wanted to be a zookeeper. Then when I was in sixth grade, I wanted to be a lawyer. Now, I have no idea what I want to be.

K-4th/5th grade: Astronaut-artist. I really wanted to be both, so I decided I would like sketch Earth from outer space and stuff.
6th-7th grade: Still astronaut, but dropped the artist part.
8th-9th grade: Realized I hated science. “Daddy, what job makes you the most money?” OK, I want to be an Investment Banker.
10th-present: No idea. Maybe professor, maybe go into business or law. If I were dumb and didn’t need intellectual stimulation in my career, I would totally go into industrial design (with the specific goal of designing cars). I think it would be very cool to be a music critic, but I don’t know that that’s what I really want to do. Advertising would be great, or being a writer if I could hack it… but I feel like none of these professions would allow me to maximize my potential or allow to me to have an impact on the world.
