mommy, when i grow up...

I wanna be a prostitute.

I first wanted to be a journalist when I was 5, even though I had no idea what they did. Then, I told everyone I was going to be an artist up 6th grade (I suck at drawing BTW.) My “future” job shifted from artist to baker (suck at baking) to video game designer back to artist to chef back to baker to psychologist. Now, it’s either historian or family/comsumer science teacher.

I wanted to be an MBTA train operator. No joke.

Shamu’s personal trainer
Astronaut
Teacher

I still want to be all three :[

That’s exactly what happened to me. I became an editor and now I don’t write articles, just tell people why theirs aren’t good.

Are you saying that the Power Rangers AREN’T real!?

NOOO! That’s impossible! The Power Rangers, the aliens, it’s all true! ALL TRUE!

NO! They’re all real, but I lost all hope when I didn’t get my Harry Potter letter. I just realized I wasn’t cool enough. :(

I wanted to be an inventor, still do, and I’ve just gotten my first few inventions under my belt because I haven’t wasted my time doing homework.

In the 5th grade, I was obsessed with astronomy so back then I wanted to be an astronomer and work with NASA.

Now, I go to film school in college, haha.

I wanted to become a published author (my mom has a recording of me at age 5 actually saying that). Surprisingly, my goal still hasn’t changed much, probably because I love writing and seeing my name in print. But along with that, add “prospective linguist/translator” and “lawyer” to the list and you’ll have my goals now.

Oh my, that was my dream too! I use to be in love with astronomy, my library was pretty much stuffed with planet books. I badly wanted to be an astronaut. Too bad, after physics and pre-cal I learned I could not. It sucks when you realize you dreams can’t come true.
Now, I’m off to be a lawyer. Less excitement and adventure, but I do like arguing a lot.

I don’t remember what I wanted to be, but my younger brother wanted to be a ninja and a hobo. The ninja I can understand, but why a hobo? lol

That is so cute and funny! Unfortunately I wasn’t much of a funny person when I was little - my goals were actually serious ones, lol.

haha ya. I think I wanted to be a lawyer or something at that age lol. At least he has moved on and now wants to be an ambassador

I wanted to be teacher because i wanted to hit kids with a long stick that teachers held.

A veterinarian.
A teacher.
A country singer.
A writer/artist.

Simultaneously, of course. :)

fifth grade i didn’t about it lol
but now i wanna be Diplomat or Lawyer.because this world not really incorruptible.
different level of people ,there is rapaciousness.

I wanted to be a doctor from the age of like 8. My parents got a huge book called Anatomica and I read it front to back multiple times. It was crazy. Then when I was 14 I decided on pharmacy.

I also wanted to be a vet when I was really little, a lawyer for a short time, and a computer programmer for quite a while.

I now wouldn’t want to deal with animals 24/7. Lawyer is backup if I hate all the science classes for pharmacy. Computer programmers aren’t what I am looking for.

Age 4-7: Baseball player, of course.
Age 7-10: Math or History Teacher (Mom is a Math professor)
Age: 11-14: Web Design/Development
Age: 14-16: Any job I can get with a Computer Science degree
Age: 16-16.5/now: Any job I can get with a Computer Engineering degree

When I was really young, I wanted to be a (piano) teacher or a firefighter. People thought I was weird because only BOYS should want to be firefighters. Ugh, whatever.
7-8: grand ambition was to be a Pok
