More than 2 recommendations?

Has anyone done this? What were your experiences?

Well, I only got two teacher reccommendations, but I got a third from an extracurricular sponsor as a part of the "want to tell us more about you" forms or whatever they're called. I was admitted.
I reccommend doing the same. I think 2 teachers + the counselor recc are more than sufficient in the way of academics/how you are as a student. Send them a recc that says how you are as a person/humanitarian etc.

ps if you get an additional recc, make sure that it says Jeef690 is "top few in my career." I bet a mediocre additional recc can be harmful.

what if u use common app
what forms do u give to the additional person

<a href="http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/forms/%5B/url%5D">http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/forms/</a></p>

Read the Optional Forms part.

that's princeton rec.
what aobut ppl w/ common app?

It says...

Optional Forms:

Whether you choose the Princeton Application or the Common Application, you may wish to include these optional forms when you apply...

Then it lists them.

The key part is "whether you choose the Princeton Application or the Common Application." So, it doesn't really matter whether you do the Common or Princeton, you still use the same form for an Additional Recommendation and send it in separately.

I submitted four and got into Princeton.

4 not including counselor's rec?
