@noor24 im an international applicant!! i applied for FA too, and ur right about it being a pain 
its surprisingly difficult to get my parents to tell me about their money - its a pretty touchy subject, but if u want FA that’s just what u gotta do sighz
if you’re applying ED1 they’ll usually tell you if u get in or not (by email) around dec15th onwards (but not after christmas, interestingly enough). i think the only reason they say jan 1 is to give themselves some leeway in case they need more time. it wont be different for international’s (from the trend i’ve seen in past years) but they might take some time sending you the letters and other paperwork through snail mail since, different country and all
i’ve heard of the trustee scholarship! its full tuition right? it would be pretty amazing to get that and it would be so helpful too. is that what you’re aiming for?

Woah really! That means decisions are closer than I thought.
I will need somewhere around full scholarship to attend (if I am accepted) the tution fee is way too much for my parents to afford!
But I’ve heard the Trustee Scholarship is pretty competitive 
and I regret not giving an interview! Apparently that raises your chances but I’ve also heard many people say the interview doesn’t affect anything…
Did you give an interview by any chance?
@noor24 nah, i didn’t give any interviews. my people skills could use some work and i dont wanna risk something as delicate as an interview because im 110% sure i’d mess up my chances of getting in. not that they were super high to begin with lol
i really hope you get it!! the FA i need has to cover pretty much most of my tuition, my parents are pretty broke too. not to your extent though, so i do hope you get that scholarship!!! no one should have to miss the chance of higher education just because of money issues

@noor24 ah islamabad, a lot of my relatives live there. i lived there for a while too! its a great place, very green, pretty safe as well which, for pakistan, is a huge plus.
i really hope we meet next year! heres to an amazing 2017 (hopefully better than 2016)

Guys! All my friends who applied early got their decisions!
I’m the only one left…do u think the decisions will be sent today? And have any of u received any emails
I have not, but my guess is that decisions will come out around the 17th or 18th (from previous years’ threads). But that would be Saturday and Sunday
Have they ever released decisions on the weekend?

@noor24 no, i havent got any emails. out of all the colleges offering early applications, im pretty sure mount holyoke replies the latest, so its normal if ur friends leave u in the dust this month - no worries!
@XiaoAh yeah, i’d bet the 17th/18th too. i cant remember if they’ve ever sent emails out on a weekend but i kind of doubt it. i checked mhc’s website and they’re open mondays-fridays and only on saturdays if there’re people visiting. im very willing to bet they’ll tell us anywhere from today to early next week.
@lapidescence agree! I’m hoping all decisions will be out by monday next week. Hope we all make it!

I have heard from some alumni that apparently Mount Holyoke likes to send out decisions on fridays around 5, when their admissions offices close… So perhaps we will hear on the 16th? I really hope so… It’s so stressful waiting to hear back and not even knowing when that will be >.<
