Hi everyone! I’m making this post for my friend who applied for MSU and was denied, then appealed his decision.
This is the story: He applied late November with 12 credits and a 4.0 GPA. He’s currently taking 20 credits this spring (currently a freshman), but he did not include the “required” math course for transfers in his portal because he just signed up to take it at a different community college because the one he is at did not offer it. They sent him a rejection letter pointing out that he would do well but he did not meet the math requirement. He appealed his decision, writing them a letter saying how he was in the math course- just he did not update his portal. Do you think he has a chance? How long does it take for MSU to get back to appealed decisions? Anything will be helpful!! Thanks!!
He also submitted proof of registration in his math class with his appeal letter!
After reading, they should reset the portal to pending as it was before. And allow him to add the correct things such as the math class. And then review after the next set of semester grades are sent
