I’m staying with a student too!

lol, @skimmy92, its the facebook group event for those going to the MultiCultural Weekend Celebration. It was made by merrymelodys.

lol ok I thought I was missing something hah I joined too:)

Just RSVPed. I’m also staying with a current student. Sooo excited to meet everyone:)

Yay sleeping bags??

Wooh uncomfy floors (taste my sarcasm :/) But I guess it’s pretty epic for being free haha

I was all ready to come to Celebration weekend. I had my flights booked and the weekend cleared off on my calendar…

Then today I found out I have been named a regional finalist in a research competition and I have been invited to DC to present and compete for national finalist… and that weekend is the same as Multicult weekend.

Don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely ecstatic about my achievement, but it’s just a shame that the two events have to conflict.

Oh well… hopefully they’ll excuse the cancellation fees on the plane tickets since it’s a completely legitimate reason.

Ohh Matcat, that’s really unfortunate. Yeah, I just signed up for the Multicultural event and really hope that that won’t end up happening to me…

Pretty darn apprehensive about signing up for a flight that is pretty much going to require me to make two stops in the middle of the night in order to get to St. Louis (Alaska sucks).

Ahh, I’m so pumped for this!
I’m a little nervous about staying overnight with a student though. I’ve heard some horror stories about overnight stays
But I guess there’s a first time for everything!

I went to about 4 or 5 overnight diversity programs in the fall, so I hope I get a good student host! looking forward to meeting everyone :D

Are most of you going by yourselves or with parents/siblings? Rooming with a current student would be fun, but I think my parents also want to come along. (I’m guessing that WashU doesn’t pay for their tickets lol)

I’m going by myself

I’m going by myself as well

By myself as well

By my self.

How am I going to lug a sleeping bag on the plane? O_o

Hmm, I’m thinking what if WashU invites you guys for the WILD weekend…

When is WILD? what happens

Going by myself too.

WILD is on April 29th.

WILD is a concert event held in the Brookings Quadrangle twice a year. It’s probably one of the biggest social events on campus. Last WILD we had Wale and Major Lazer. Couple of years ago, we had Black-Eyed Peas. This coming WILD Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will come.

Generally speaking, Spring WILD is not as big as Fall WILD, but it’s still a great event to attend

Anyone else get the itinerary? The schedule looks like soooo much fun. Can’t wait:)

Soooo much opportunity for food! I will be in heaven :D.
