I’m a future undergrad applying to a bunch of UC’s this year and I just wanted to know what my chances might be like with my transcript so far. I’m most concerned about getting into UC Davis and UCSC/UCSB. So far this is what I’ve got
I have a 3.361 unweighted
-3.318 unweighted 10-12 A-G
-somewhere around 3.7-3.9 weighted
-Eagle Scout rank
-Lots of volunteer hours at homeless shelters/vet hospitals (I kind of want to get into bio/pre-vet)
-And I have some fairly good essays I’m working on
Just by this short list, what do you think my chances are to getting into some of the UC’s I want to get into?
1340 SAT and 30 ACT I think. No subject tests.
I’ve also got a lot of work experience if that helps at all.
Unweighted GPA should be raised to around 3.4-3.5 by the time transcript are sent.
UC’s do not consider Senior grades in their admission decisions or GPA calculation. What is your intended major and HS course rigor?
UCD will be a Reach based on your GPA although test scores are within range.
If your UW GPA is 3.3, then your capped weighted is around 3.7-3.8. 6 of the 9 UC campuses have average UC capped weighted GPA’s over 4.0, it will be a tough admit for all but UC Santa Cruz, Riverside and Merced
UC’s tend to be very GPA focused but will look at your overall application including EC’s and personal insight essays, so there is always a chance so definitely apply. However make sure you have some solid safety schools on the list.

Best of luck.
with a sub 4 UCGPA, i think Davis will be an uphill climb. Not entirely out of reach though so, it is worth an ap.
UCR, UCSC, SDSU and CSULB are more likely targets.
good luck,
