3.5 UC GPA
SAT-2060(CR-630, M-760, W-670)
SAT Superscore-2150(CR-670, M-760, W-700)
Taking SAT II Subject Tests Bio & Math 2 in October
100+ volunteer hours
Taken 3 AP classes so far, taking 4 this year.
I am going to be majoring in Biology.
I am a California resident applying to UCSC, UCR, UCD, San Diego State, Cal Poly SLO, and CSULB.
What are my chances, and is there a higher chance of being accepted into Cal Poly if I choose early decision?
Also, if anyone has any other recommendations of schools out of state that fit my statistics and major well, please do suggest them!
Thanks!
SAT is competitive but UC GPA is low for all but UCSC and UCR. UCD is a Reach along with SLO. SDSU and CSULB use the eligibility index to rank applicants and your EI is 4190. 4100+ is competitive for SDSU and 3900+ for CSULB so those look like good target schools along with UCR.
UCR/SDSU/CSULB: Match
UCSC: High Match
UCD/SLO: Reach
I would look in the WUE (Western Undergrad Exchange) for OOS schools in the Western state area. You will get reduced tuition from the schools on the list.

UCSC - a strong personal statement will probably get you in.
UCR, San Diego State and CSULB,- are very likely to admit you
UCD, Cal Poly SLO are both a reach Major choice could make a difference (CS=NO, Psych = maybe) ED at SLO would help for less competitive majors but, won’t make a difference for CS, etc.
Good luck
