My daughter applied and we received the instructions on setting up her account on My.Fordham. I click on the "Applicant" tab and I am able to access my D's portal, but when I click on the "Financial Aid" section it says "Access Denied". I wanted to see if they received the FAFSA & CSS profile. Am I not able to access this yet unless she has been accepted?

Our financial aid portal was active pretty much as soon as they received the CSS and FAFSA and then it is updated as needed.

He was admitted yesterday but I have been able to check the FA portal for weeks

I can check the financial aid portal, too – my daughter was accepted before Thanksgiving, and we took advantage of the early filing, and all documents have been received a while ago. But the financial aid portal still doesn’t even mention the merit aid we got via the early estimate in the Personalized Packet a couple of months ago-- is that your experience, anyone else?

Ok I called and it doesn’t become active unless you are accepted.

And they do have the FAFSA & CSS forms for my D.

But even if active, the amount of money they are granting is not appearing yet, at least on my daughter’s portal, even though we received the estimated amount in the mail.

It only becomes active when you are accepted? lol, then all my son’s anxiety could have been relieved had we known that, since his portal has been up for a few weeks.

I wish that were true for all schools because he just got portals for some others as well. :D

Unfortunately, I am pretty sure those portals are for everyone who applied.

That’s what confused me. Other schools my D had applied to and also required the CSS has portals to check FA status and I couldn’t get anything on Fordham. They emailed their reply that they couldn’t help me with log in problems. But when I called they verified that they had her FA forms. I asked about the My.Fordham section and how it said access denied for FA, she said its only active when you’re accepted. So who knows. As long as I know they got her stuff, fine.

Well I called IT services and it might be my computer here at work. I’m going to try it at home (something we hadn’t tried yet) and see what happens.

My3Daughters…same situation here. My D was accepted before T’giving and received a merit estimate. We’re anxiously awaiting to see if it goes up at all…which I doubt. Had the hard conversation last weekend that it would need to go up for her to attend. I’m guessing that they will update the portal when they have made the final decision. So it might be a while.

It works at home. Go figure, it wasn’t working on my PC at work but I was able to access it at home on my Mac.

Ktcollege-my D hasn’t been accepted yet-still waiting. We just wanted to make sure they received all FA paperwork and we just never looked in the FA section here at home, I started looking at work. It kept saying that my access was denied. Turns out to be my browser and security setting on my PC at work, because we finally did it on my Mac and there was the info we wanted, FAFSA & CSS received. Now we wait for admission decision. Wish we did EA, she submitted the application early enough.
