My roommate basically attacked me, not sure what to do...

@You of eh
I would destroy him…
Then I would call the cops and press charges.

In case you didn’t get it, the white-belt comment was a joke.

Advice from a mom… exactly what you’re looking for when you post on the College Life forum.

Like hell a guy named “mathsciencedude” would “destroy” the 6’4 buff guy.

^lol
There are still some smart dudes that are very strong. Don’t underestimate them/us!! =D

As I said earlier, I AM a 6’4" monster.

Getting the cops to “destory” him is just as good as destroying him yourself, except with much less work.

This is percisely why women like guys who are socially popular. Even if they can’t help themselves, they’re effectively more powerful than the big guys with the amount of help they can summon when they need it.

^ I agree especially for the case where you’re in a cramped space with a bunch of his friends.

Yes excelblue, that is “percisely” why girls like guys who are socially popular. It has nothing to do with status or personality or charm, but the fact that they can make a phone call to the police station after they get beat up. Good stuff.

This was assault and I am sure he broke many rules signed in the housing contract. There are rules about the amount of people that can be in a room due to fire codes, not to mention the alcohol. I am hoping you photographed the condition of the room and I would contact not only the RA, the RA Director and the housing office, and maybe the Police Department.

This is absolutely an unacceptable situation.

No way this is real. A person having 30 people over his dorm room for a party? A roommate wanting to have a homecoming party…in his dorm room? Bringing a 12 pack to a party or 30 people, not a case? Sounds delusional to me.

Samurailandshark…How the heck does one person have so many posts? I assume there must be an error. I hope it is an error.

Momma-three - it’s just a glitch in the CC system when I signed up. I assure you I don’t have two billion posts. :)

Samurai-
You should have the explanation as a signature line so you dont have to repeat it 2 billion times.

And agree, glad the OP reported the roommate and is getting outta there. He could have saved the roommates life-- next step could have been alcohol poisoning. Who knows.

I should, Jym! That’s a good idea.

I put something in my location just recently, but it’s not enough!

LoonLake,

I am glad your problem is getting resolved. Nobody should be bullied or assaulted in their own home. I don’t think the “narc” thing is that big a deal. I doubt if other people would put up with that crap in their dorm rooms.

Hang in there. Good luck with the meeting and your new roommate!

^^If you think about it in a positive way, now you’re a NARC! Isn’t that cool? I think that’s cool. What about everyone else; don’t YOU think it’s cool?! I think it’s cool.

“Totally, man, he’s such a cool narc. I wish I were a narc”

Love the sarcasm, mathsciencedude.

So what would you do? Put up with a roommate who verbally and physically abused you? Doubt it, based on your posts.

^I was being sarcastic the other way around, actually. As you said, by my posts, I support the OP.

I tend to be on the side of standard English. Thus, I regard colloquial terms, such as “Narc” as stoopid. I was making fun of the term, not the person. I think it’s stoopid how people use this word.

^^Also, I thought it was strange that someone liked my sense of humor…
but then I read further :(
