my stats suck, chances for ivies or any decent university?

Obviously the kid didn't mean the denotation of the word. I'm sorry, but you have such a sparse sense of logic.
Anyone who must procure their self-worth/intelligence from standardized testings must have no life as well.
btw, anyone could look up what you just asked on the internet ya know.

come to think of it, since stupidity also refers to people with ni common sense or make foundationless accusations, i guess it wasn't that "inaccurate in its assumption".

dude, I watch that much tv and I think I'm smart, not a genius, but pretty smart.

awesome! Those weren't my real stats, but hey, who can help loving television, the most phenomenal invention of all time.

forget the ivies...i hear san diego state is a great party school.

woooo, party, party! whatever, state school is for loosers in my opinion. Ivies are the best party schools cause their ****ened rich so they'll have loads of alcohol.(I'm really not a drinker so i hope no one is getting the wrong idea bout me)

physicsislife... no. knowing how to solve maths problems or being good in maths/physics does not prove anyone's intelligence. If anything it only shows a tiny facet of one's intelligence. IQ is also a bunch of crap. the inventor of the IQ scale + test said it only measures ability in certain ways of thinking, and doesnt go any further than that. he said real intelligence cannot be measured. and guess what? he was right.

i know plenty of geniuses who are academically and mathematically horrible, but who otherwise show brilliance, in the way that they think, express themselves etc. i also know a couple of guys who are bloody geniuses in maths but in all other areas of life (outside of academics) are hopeless.

and seth blue, i thought your post was funny but my grades are actually not that far from the fictional ones you posted earlier. on my midyear report i got 4 A's, 2 C's and 2 D's. that sucks more than a blonde on the first date, yet i do not think i am a dumbass physicsislife... then again i might be living in this fantasy world where im smart when in reality im a retard... who knows.

whatever, i don't care how a few no life teachers grade me at school, and i think they can measure the quality of our work as much as iq tests can measure depth in character(what really counts). So 2Ds and Cs don't mean yer not smart, it just means you got a variety of teachers whose perceptions of good work are different. Or maybe it means you slacked off.(that's understandable if yer at a crappy as sin highschool that hires mostly unqualified teachers like mine.)

my teachers are ok, but the way most of my classes are taught is really disorganised and confusing as hell.
cant blame it on them though, try as i might. its me who is the problem. i slack off like a b****, even though i keep telling myself "work work work", you know?
i got this overpowering feeling of lethargy which i cant fight.
i try to, but its hard.

i completely understand that overwhelming feeling of lethargy you described. I am at war with it all the time. Sometimes i'm just braindead, can't think of any ideas, but want to do a good job. And since i'm such a procrastinator, i wait until the last minute to think and realize the assignment is due the next day. it sucks ****.

I have that problem, its a condition called senioritis

It is treated by an event called graduation lol

but you'll be be rediagnosed with it once you reach a day called the first day of university.(assuming you're going to post-secondary, LOL)
