ok, i've been too embarrased to post my stats, cause as you can see, I'm a dumbass, but i dream of the day when i will get my lazy, caoch potato ass off the sofa and actually do something with my life. so please tell me your opinion of my chances.

Yeah, I never got if you were serious or not :-p. I guess I was a bit presumptuous in assuming that you were joking since thats what everyone else said :p.

Hey. I watch probably 3 hours+ TV a night, and I can manage. That's with a demanding courseload, with good grades in them, and good test scores too.

I just never feel like doing work, and I can usually get by without doing any.

yea well........whatever, maybe some people are just dumb. You don't need to brag just to make me appear dumber ya know. I'll bet you haven't gotten past the last level of halo killing virtually every hunter that crossed yer path.(LOL, i wish i was smarter. I'm so slack, one of my teachers did a homework check and naturally assumed i didn't do it. He jst walked past me and wrote down something. I think it was a big fat zero. I really didn't do it, so it was hilarious)
as for people who think this is a joke.....i wish!

Well, in the event that you are serious. I think ivies are a bit of a reach for you, but you should be able to get into a decent state college, UCs. You may also be able to get into some good LACs, you never know :). I'd recommend going to a cc then transfering if you want to get into an ivy tho...

"I think ivies are a bit of a reach for you, but you should be able to get into a decent state college, UCs"

That's a completely asinine statement. He didn't give you ANY actual stats and you say he can get into UCs or a flagship state U? He had nothing positive to say about himself and ahem...Ivies, a bit of a reach? That implies that he even has a chance. Since his stats are so low that he won't even mention them, I would assume third tiers or CCs are more appropriate.

The fact that he is posting on CC says something, I think he cares a bit about his grades. He knows he screwed up last year and this year. If he works hard, it is possible to improve. Then again, he could flunk out of highschool. I'm guessing that he's trying to improve since he's posting on cc, so I see that an upward trend is possible, plus, UC schools ignore freshmen year. UCs are not that hard to get into if you're in state or URM. In fact, the lower UCs are extremely easy to get into, I wasn't refering to Berkeley in the previous quote. Yes, I'm assuming alot, but he really didn't give me much to judge off.

I'm not in that great of a position to give much advice, but then again, who are you to tell someone that their future lies in a cc?

About the ivies, I was trying not to bash him. Yes, put it bluntly they are next to impossible, but I prefer not to put things so bluntly. I don't think thats being asinine is it? I like to call it optimism.
