my wounds don't heal or don't fully heal and it wasn't like this before.. ...what's wrong with me?! asked the school nurse some time ago and she said it was no problem but i can't trust her. do i have diabetes or cancer or something? got any explanation for this?

what??? explain further

when i get a cut, it doesn't heal or heals very slowly and leaves a scar. this is not normal for me and i'm wondering what could be wrong.

anemia, diabetes, lots of things that should be looked at, nothing too serious, but I would check it out....nerves and stress can do a lot, but get it looked at....have you changed your diet, exercising more, taking medication (or something else).....tell your parents, don't be nervous its probably nothing, but why not have yourself checked...

I have had a simular problem like yours. Ever since I was little, my wounds wouldn't heal. They would heal into a scar, and the scar or bruise would never go away. It took me six years to get rid of this scar I got back when i was six. When my parents realized this, they took me to a doctor, but the doctor said it was nothing serious. But, after that my parents tried very hard to take the tomboy out of me.

thanks for posting your story, thesiren, and your advice, citygirlsmom. in fact, i will schedule an appointment for next week. my mind has been put to ease, at least by a little. really, i thank you both.

I bruise really easily, and when I started eating better, getting more protien, etc, it really helped. So look at lifestyle, but don't stress over it. Teens don't sleep enough, eat too much junk, and well, you get the idea. So, start by eating better, etc, getting rest, and it might help, and it for sure won't hurt. Every body reacts differently, so be sure and take care of yourself. Look at what you put on your cuts....they can actually sometimes make wounds take longer to heal.

Definitely follow up with a doctor.

Yep, see the doctor, rule out stuff, that in itself will cause less stress, finding out....

Yes, go see your primary care physician now.

yes, pleeeease go see your doctor

I thought I posted on this thread, but my post is not here. Yes, Gian, do see a doctor and ask for a CBC with diffentials, among other tests. He will probably want to do one anyways. The external cuts you can see. If the same is happening internally, it can become a problem.

Awwww. your wounds won't heal eh? I suggest you rub alcohol over it.

get more sleep

ahhh sucks to be you huh?

didn't you wish you were a mutant like wolverine, he heals in like 1 second. You stab him he recovers right away. He's super old too and looks sharp.

iamstupid you will never!
