Thanks for the links!

OK, I give up--so how did you generate those lists?

I have a saved list of ID numbers for top universities and LACs so I don't have to enter them every time. I copy and paste them into the last line of the "select by name" screen.

from an earlier thread

here are some steps to follow to get you started:
peer analysis system
guest level
I agree
enter one institution name
select
comparison group
add by name
enter at least 3 more schools
select
check off the ones you want to keep
continue
"reports and stats" on left
Institutions Data
under "enrollments" 2004 (there is a lot of other info too...this is just an example)
residence and migration
under qualifying variable - select
check the top box to keep the total
click the "+" next to "US" to expand the list of all states
check Florida
click "save and close" at top
under "list of variables" check the top box
click "continue"
click "finished selection"
click "long variable name"
if you want to view on screen, click "view on screen"
if you want to download a comma-delimited file to your PC, click "download comma-separated ..." this is to import into excel, which is what I do so you can sort and edit
click continue

you can calculate ratios on the website using the "calculated variables" at the top, selecting from your master list, or calculate them using excel, which is what I do

In raw numbers.
