<p>I was invited to attend one of these things, and I've heard CCer's talking about attending them...but are they just summer program moneymakers or are they valid educational experiences that might look good on a transcript? </p>
<p>I may be wrong about this but don't they cost a lot of money?</p>

<p>While they are fun, and educational, they don't do too much for your transcript. By all means attend if it is in an area of study that you like, but only for that reason (and of course because you have loose change) :)</p>
