@colltransfer97 It shows that my application was submitted and it says I have all of my supporting materials in too.
Can someone chance me?
Currently a “senior” at a state school in California with about 90 semester units completed.
Applied as an Econ major but want to transfer into Business.
GPA: 3.41, 3.71 in the first two years. Deans list for four semesters.
EC: VP Finance in my sorority, Internship at a local magazine, and worked three jobs
Two LORs. One from a professor and one from an advisor.
Gap of one semester (Fall 2015)
I lost my father last February and my grandfather in October, which I included in my essays. Moved to the RDU area in July to be with my family and decided to apply to schools here even though it may take longer to finish my degree. Born out of the U.S.(Asia).
I’m really nervous. Hoping I get in.
Actually call the transfer admissions office . If you do not call you may never receive a decision. They receive a lot of applications are will always mess some up. The issue may of been from the common app when the options were to click early decision or normal and you may have not clicked anything because my friend did that. But if you call they are very helpful so I would suggest that .
I found out yesterday that I did this exact thing (didn’t choose the right decision release on the common app) after I called advising because I was the only person I knew who had not received a decision. I don’t know who would benefit from getting a decision later versus as soon as possible, but for some reason there is this option. I’m going to the transfer advising office today to see if there is any possible way to receive a decision earlier than May 15th.
@1ManWolfpack, could you post your findings? I also accidently the wrong decision date on the common app -_-, and here I’ve been filled with anxiety for weeks.
Hey guys! I’ve been checking the pack portal daily to see if they got around to my transfer credit report…just checked and it’s finally up just wanted to share just in case anyone else was waiting for theirs also…57 credits transferred for me, with 9 currently pending. I can’t complain
@Gowolfpacks18, Did you get an enrollment date? My kid has a transfer summary report but no transfer credit report yet. She is still listed as unmatriculated. She did contact the department and got her advising hold removed, but still waiting on an enrollment date.
@nealinnc no enrollment date here either the portal says it will be under maintenance this weekend so I am hoping they will figure it out then…I also don’t know who my advisor and stuff is. I was told all of that info would be given in my acceptance letter…we shall see
my kid just got her transfer credit report uploaded. She seems to run a few hours behind you. I guess matriculation and an advisor is the next step followed by an enrollment date.
Hoping we will get those answers today…my fafsa paperwork has all been verified as of this morning…hoping to get a (good) package soooon
Got my official acceptance letter in the mail today (“the big envelope”)…but no where in this letter does it state my advisor like I was told when I emailed nc housing. Hmmm
Got my acceptance today. Definitely wasn’t expecting it because I applied four days after the first deadline and they told me I wouldn’t get a response until May 15th. Here are my stats for anyone interested.
Stats:
Current College: Community college in North Carolina
GPA: 3.9
Major: Sociology
EC:'s: Intern at a non-profit organization, Girl’s on The Run assistant coach, volunteer at women’s health center, NC Global Distinction member, member of a feminist union.
I didn’t send a letter of recommendation since it isn’t recommended according to their websites.
I believe my essays were pretty good.
Good luck everyone who is still waiting!
@dmimima I believe I saw you post on the unc thread we should hear from unc by the end of the week so ive been told…I hope we both get in but nonetheless I think I’d be pretty happy at state too.
Thanks @Gowolfpacks18 !!! Can’t wait to hear from them! Best of luck to you! Yeah, NC State is a great school too! I’m really glad I was accepted.
received my financial aid package today…very happy
@Gowolfpacks18 Awesome! Where did you receive it? On the Wolfpack portal
? Because I haven’t gotten my yet…
@dmimima yep! Log into your pack portal, then go to student self service>campus finances>view financial aid>awards
Were you selected for verification? I had to send in a verification worksheet, they received it on 4/1…it was processed and they finished reviewing it yesterday…so about a 10 day process. Checked pack portal and it was up there today… Hope this helps
Thanks so much @Gowolfpacks18 ! Yes, when searching the portal I realized I was selected for verification, so that must be why I haven’t received a package yet.

I’m a little concerned, as on their website it says that statistics does not fulfill their math requirement, but I don’t know if that will make or break me? Just wanted to get some thoughts, thanks!
Hey @AshGirl97…I am not 100% sure of nc state’s admission process but from your stats you look pretty good. you stated that you were missing maybe a math requirement…I have seen where missing a class or two could put someone in a bind but maybe it could be different for you.
I was accepted to unc the other day (wasn’t expecting it, to be honest)…but I will tell you what I know from their process. I have heard that it is easier to get in as a junior so perhaps next year you can try to apply when you have at least 60 credits. Also, if you are a freshmen or sophomore then they rely more so on your high school grades versus your grades now. Also, when you are a junior, unc doesn’t ask for SATs which was a lifesaver for me and probably others. Again I would apply to unc next year if that is what you’re set on. Also there is some people on this thread who know more about nc state than me so hopefully they can chime in. Hope this helps.
